Test Methods and Quality Control

 

Another field of the group "concrete" is in the development and continuous improvement of test and measurement procedures.

For example, the DBV – German Society for Concrete and Construction Technology – Guideline "Concrete Coverage" was altered towards a more real-life approach based on a research project funded by the DBV.
Research projects to determine the static modulus of elasticity are another example.

In addition, the group's laboratory regularly takes part in different round robin tests.

In another research project, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG – German Research Foundation –, non-reinforced concrete walls were tested by means of a mechanical four-column compression testing machine with a maximum test load of 10 MN.
