Conference with international guests in SuperC
Almost 60 participants from 12 different countries came to Aachen on December 13 to attend the 5th European Calorimetry Cenference. The congress was organized by the Institute of Building Materials Research at RWTH Aachen University and Calmetrix Inc., USA.
For two days, top-class speakers addressed topics such as isothermal calorimetry, high-temperature calorimetry, reactivity testing of SCM and hydration of Portland and alkali-activated cements. Discussions were also held on how to accelerate the introduction and correct application of this technique.
A visit to the famous Aachen Christmas market and a dinner in the restaurant of the historic city hall perfectly rounded off the very successful congress, resulting in a consistently positive response from the participants!
The next European Calorimetry Cenference will probably take place in 2025.
