First Doctoral Candidate Achieves an Outstanding Result


Junior Professor at the Chair of Building Materials Anya Vollpracht, congratulated her first successful doctoral candidate on Friday, July 5, 2019!

Xiaochen Lin M.Sc. from China completed her doctoral studies with her thesis on the topic of "Long-term heavy metal bonding in soils and substitute building materials by treatment with binding agents". She was awarded the grade "very good" for her doctorate. Lin worked at the chair in the Environmental Compatibility of Building Materials Working Group, which Anya Vollpracht has been supervising as junior professor since 2014. Professor Dr. Dietmar Stephan, Chair of Building Materials and Construction Chemistry, TU Berlin, was the second doctoral supervisor and Professor Johannes Pinnekamp from the RWTH Institute of Sanitary Engineering headed the chair.
